This is what life is all about!

As I've said before, there's nothing better than the smile of a child. (Except for their laughter.) This weekend my 2 year old niece came to visit me. We had so much fun together. We went to the mall and visited the Easter bunny.

Then we spent the rest of the time doing fun things like climbing on (and over) the couch.

And playing with the toys. The Dinosaurs, the boys, Elmo, and the rest of the gang.
We played "run away!" and wrestled with each other.
Then we made "Pizzi" for dinner. Leah is such a good cook!

And then we ended the day by watching one of our favorite videos. Pooh Bear! And then a few cuddles.
Life just doesn't get much better than this!

Word of the day...

Ok Kids... Today's word of the day is procrastinate.

Procrastinate : to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done.

I am a very methodical person. I start out each day by making a list of things that I need or want to get done. Then I take great pleasure crossing off each task as it is completed. But today, I am struggling with procrastinating.

I should be finishing up cleaning my apartment. I should be sorting books to keep and donate. I should be doing alot of things, but am sitting here watching the Red Wings play the Blues and playing on the computer instead. I still need to exercise, pack for the upcoming weekend, and finish cleaning my apartment. Plus a few other assorted things that are left from today's to do list. It looks like I'll be paying for my procrastinating by having to stay up late tonight. Sleep is highly over rated anyway... :)

I'm excited about the upcoming weekend. I took this coming Friday off and will be enjoying 3 whole days off. Whooo Hooo! I don't have any major plans or anything. Just plan on enjoying myself doing whatever strikes my fancy at the time. I'm going to be spending the majority of the time at my parents house. I'm going to be house sitting while my parents take a trip to Denver. They have a hot tub, a large screen TV, a washer and dryer, and most importantly... Leftovers. (Mom is such a better cook than I am!) It's like staying at a hotel for free.

The real fun will be the time spent with my 2 year old niece Leah. I'm going to have an "all about me" weekend for her. Whatever she wants to do, we'll do. (Within reason of course.) We're gonna watch movies, play games, eat junk food, go to the mall. I'll do the same for my other niece Susanna when she's a little older. I love spending time with my nieces.

Well gang, I really do have to go get stuff done. I'll talk at ya later.

Reffie.
